FileMaker New Bento Business Organizer
FileMaker announced the new Bento Business Organizer, a free set of customized database templates that make it easy to manage businesses run by sole proprietors. The Bento Business Organizer from FileMaker, available free with a 30-day trial of Bento 4, offers a set of powerful templates tailor-made for business owners that sell handcrafted goods such as furniture, clothing, paintings, baked goods and jewelry at farmer’s markets, festivals or from their own studios, workshops, and web sites, such as Etsy.com.
Bento is the most-popular line of personal database products for Mac, iPhone and iPad. Bento 4 for Mac recently received an Editor’s Choice from PC Magazine. The magazine also recently named Bento for iPad among the top 10 business apps for iPad.

FileMaker Delivers FileMaker Go Training
Self-paced training helps users build iPhone and iPad database applications
FileMaker announced FileMaker Go training, now available in the updated FileMaker Technical Resource Kit. The free downloadable kit’s four self-paced training modules include the new FileMaker Go module, which teaches users how to quickly optimize and deploy FileMaker Pro databases on iPad and iPhone. It also provides recommendations for using calculations and scripts in FileMaker Go, and covers passing data between FileMaker Go and other mobile applications.
The FileMaker Go training module and three modules covering some of the hottest FileMaker topics (Working with Layouts, Reporting and Security) are sold as part of the $99 FileMaker Training Series, but are available free, along with a 30-day trial of FileMaker Pro, in this kit.
